Lewis at Soft Touch Arts

I began attending the STart project when I was in a bad place: I went through a period of depression through my final years of secondary school and, since leaving, had shut myself out from the world for about a year and a half. Cank Street

Among the Yellow by Abby Smith

Leicester’s own Cank Street Gallery today opened its first Open Art Exhibition; containing work from myself, Abby Smith (another blogger here), and Kieran Walsh (who works with us at Soft Touch). The exhibition closes on the 25th of October 2014, just under 3 weeks away. Cank Street Gallery can be found […] Read more »

Lego Pimpstress Abe

From the 5th of August ’til the 15th, a mixed exhibition of photography and stencil work will be on display in Leicester’s Highcross shopping centre. It consists of photography by a mix-bag of young people; both from Soft Touch’s STart group, and from Park Lodge hostel. As well as the young people’s work, there is going to be a photo booth […] Read more »

Me and three other young people were given this project in which we had to work with Soft Touch Arts. We also had some help from Michael Lawrence from Spearing Waite to plan, keep diaries, set up dates, form lists of what we would need, come […] Read more »
